Food giant forays into toilet soap business

New Delhi/ Agra. Kolkata-based Priya Food Products Ltd, one of the largest players in the biscuit market in Eastern India, has now forayed into manufacturing toilet soaps.
On Sunday, the company launched an entire range of toilet soaps under the brandname – “Priya Yours” in Agra.
On this occasion, the company director Anoop Agarwal said that in just 18 years after being established, the company had grown into a formidable player in the biscuit market of Eastern India and it was slowly spreading its wings into the Northern India, establishing an extensive dealer network in UP and Utaranchal and it had entered into stiff competition with other major companies already dominating this market.
He said the company has now entered the toiletries market by launching “Priya Yours” toilet soaps as its first product line.
He said that the company was aware that by launching toilet soaps, it was entering a highly competitive market but the products had already begun getting a good response in East India and the company was confident that it would be able to make its hold on the North Indian market within short time.
He said that while other companies were already established in the market, the USP of “Priya Yours” soap shall be its competitively fixed prices that were much lower than any comparable product being marketed by other companies. The soaps shall be available in 50g, 75g and 100g sizes.
