UP starts bird tests

New Delhi/Agra. Uttar Pradesh has begun preparing for the possible outbreak of the Bird Flu in the state.
According to the chief veterinary officer of Agra, Uday Shanker Gupta, the department has prepared a list of all the 47 major poultry farms in the district which bred almost 50,000-60,000 fowls per farm and teams had been dispatched to these farms to take blood samples of the birds in these farms.

Besides, he said blood tests were made on migratory birds arriving in the Keetham bird sanctuary of Agra and so far, no cases of bird flu had been found in these birds.
