Agra. In yet another twist in former Miss Agra Kamna Chowdhary's tale, the girl will now be living in a women's home inside the high-security Tihar Jail till the next hearing of her case by the Supreme Court.

Talking to The Pioneer, Pt Parmanand Katara, the counsel for Kamna's father in the Supreme Court, said that an apex court bench, headed by Justice KG Balakrishnan and Justice Navlekar, has ruled that Kamna was not in the right frame of mind to record an uninfluenced statement and it was prudent to keep her in seclusion from both her so-called husband and her father to help her regain her mental balance.

According to Mr Katara, the Court had ruled that Kamna shall be kept in the Nirmal Chhaya Women's Home inside Tihar Jail for a week and then she shall be again presented before the Court on February 24 for recording her statement.
Mr Katara said during her stay in the women's home, neither her father nor her so-called husband Hemant shall be allowed visitation privileges to prevent anyone from unduly influencing her statement.

According to Mr Katara, when Kamna was brought before the court, she was apparently under the influence of narcotics that had been injected into her body by Hemant and his gang of so - called journalists. Even the Court registrar had noted in the statement that Kamna was appearing under duress, which had affected her judgement.
Mr Katara said that it was evident that Hemant had been terrorising the girl and even after Kamna was ordered to be sent to the women's home by the Supreme Court, he tried to threaten her in the presence of other lawyers in the Court premises upon which, two lady lawyers Vandana and Kusumlata, rescued the girl from his clutches and escorted her to her ride to the women's home in Tihar Jail.

According to Mr Katara, Kamna shall now be brought in the Court on February 24 and her statement shall be again recorded. It would be this statement that will finally decide her fate, whether she remains with her so-called rapist husband, or goes back to her father's family.
