Atul Polyplast launches room coolers in Agra

New Delhi/ Agra.           Atul Polyplast, a subsidiary of the Agra-based Rs 250 crore Atul group of companies, entered the domestic appliances market last week with the launch of its room cooler range developed by the company in technical collaboration with Reliance Industries Ltd.

Saying that the new Atul cooler range was the first cooler using the advanced “evaporative cooling system” developed by the company with the help of Reliance Industries Ltd, Sanjeev Mittal, Director, Atul Group added that the technology for the coolers had been specially developed to prevent the rise in humidity that was the inherent problem of all room and swamp coolers.

As a result, the cooler provided the comfort of an air-conditioner even in high temperatures.He said the coolers had been developed according to the latest BIS standards to consume optimum electricity, the LLDP plastic body of the cooler also made it the longest running cooler in its category, with an operational life of 10 years.

Being completely sealed, the water tank of the coolers did not provide shelter to mosquitoes that usually bred inside cooler tanks in urban areas.

The company was also planning two bigger sizes in coolers besides other domestic electrical appliances.

On Wednesday, the British government 'de-recognized' the Gaddafi government and decided that it was in the interest of democracy to recognize the Libyan rebels as the only legal representative of the Libyan people. Immediately after that, the British Police entered the Libyan embassy in London and forced the remaining Libyan diplomats out of UK. France has already been parachuting modern weaponry, arms and ammunition to the Libyan rebel strongholds and both France and the United States have recognized the rebels as the legal Libyan representative power. Faced with the task of developing environment-friendly technology for industry due to guidelines issued by the Supreme Court, entrepreneurs in Agra are realising the cost-effective potential of such technologies and innovations. Govardhan Udyog is one such unit which plans to use a non-conventional raw material, cowdung, to produce particle board and pharmaceutical products. The unit was inaugurated this week on the Agra-Delhi national highway near the Mathura refinery, about 55 km from Agra. Company sources said the basic raw material used in the manufacture of particle board will be cow dung.
