Narsi plans software technology park in Agra

New Delhi/ Agra. While the Uttar Pradesh government’s plans to develop a software technology park in Agra are still awaiting final approval, Narsi Value Creations Ltd has fielded its own project for developing a separate software technology park in the town to develop which, company sources claim, discussions are underway with a Bangalore-based internationally acclaimed IT group.

The software technology park (STP) will be located in the 1,500-acre Narsi Hitech City that will be developed in Agra over the coming three years.

According to company sources, the detailed project report for the integrated township has been submitted to the Agra Development Authority (ADA) and the development of the project shall be done in three stages, with 600 acres being developed in the first stage.

This will begin as soon as the report is approved by the ADA and land is allotted to the company.

Besides the STP, sources said, the company also planned to develop a super-specialty hospital, mini golf course, about 30 schools and colleges, multiplexes and a 75-acre amusement park in the hi-tech city.

On Wednesday, the British government 'de-recognized' the Gaddafi government and decided that it was in the interest of democracy to recognize the Libyan rebels as the only legal representative of the Libyan people. Immediately after that, the British Police entered the Libyan embassy in London and forced the remaining Libyan diplomats out of UK. France has already been parachuting modern weaponry, arms and ammunition to the Libyan rebel strongholds and both France and the United States have recognized the rebels as the legal Libyan representative power. Faced with the task of developing environment-friendly technology for industry due to guidelines issued by the Supreme Court, entrepreneurs in Agra are realising the cost-effective potential of such technologies and innovations. Govardhan Udyog is one such unit which plans to use a non-conventional raw material, cowdung, to produce particle board and pharmaceutical products. The unit was inaugurated this week on the Agra-Delhi national highway near the Mathura refinery, about 55 km from Agra.
